Citizen Kids THROUGH THE Year

December 7 - December 14

  • This Christmas Series is all about the greatest story ever told. From how the world was broken by sin in the beginning to Jesus being born! Christmas is all about the birth of Jesus and we are instilling why it was so important that Jesus was born.

  • Main Thing: Sin Breaks Things

Overview: Using the story of Adam and Eve, we talked about how sin breaks things. Choosing to do what’s wrong brings sadness, hurt, and brokenness into the world. God didn’t create the world to be broken and does not want sin in our lives. Our sin starts to separate us from God. But the good news and the greatest story is that God loves us so much that he sent Jesus to die on the cross for us, and take all our sin. He fixed what was broken, and gives us new life.

    Discussion Questions:

    • Why do you think it’s easy for us to choose to do what’s wrong?

    • What are some examples of brokenness in the world?

    • How does Jesus help fix what sin has broken?

Overview: During this series, we are talking about generosity. But we want to remember who gave us everything we have. God is our provider and will always give us all that we need. When we try to provide all that we need, we are going to fail and all. But when we let God give to us, He gives what we need! • Ready. Set. Go. Kicked off our year here at Citizen Kids.

This series dives into the spiritual disciplines and how we can learn to spread the good news of Jesus! We learn each week the word to keep the word of God in our hearts to show others who Jesus is by the way we act.
